Manitowoc Restoration Projects
Lower Schuette Park
In partnership with the Friends of the Manitowoc River Watershed and the City of Manitowoc, LNRP has been working to restore Henry Schuette Park for over 10 years. Projects include: installation of a handicap accessible kayak launch, removal of invasive species and preservation of discovered rare species, and trail enhancements.
Silver Creek Park
The City of Manitowoc and LNRP are working with Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. on restoration projects in Silver Creek Park. These projects focus on removing dead ash trees and replanting canopy, as well as stopping the spread of invasive species throughout the park. Future projects plan to address water quality and stream bank erosion.
