Barn Dance

The LNRP Barn Dance has been an annual event anticipated by our partners and community supporters each year since its inception in 2011. Hosting this event every autumn on its given Saturday at the Saxon Homestead Farm is one of the highlights of the year for Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership. This unique event offers and opportunity for LNRP partners, stakeholders, and community residents to gather and celebrate a year filled with inspiration from water and land conservation impact. Proceeds from the evening are dedicated to funding initiatives by LNRP. This year, we celebrate the 12th Barn Dance.

12th Annual Barn Dance

Date: Saturday September 16 2022
Time: 5:30 - 10:30 p.m.
Venue: Saxon Homestead Farm
Tickets: $35 In Advance
$40 At the Door (if available)

Join us on Saturday, September 16th for the 12th Annual Barn Dance hosted at the historic Saxon Homestead Farm in celebration of LNRP’s 20th Year Milestone Anniversary celebration. LNRP has a long history of making an impact within the communities it serves. We invite our friends, partners, and supporters for an evening of gratitude and celebration of the extraordinary differences made over the past twenty years.

This year we’ve curated an evening with live music, food, silent auction, and games. With the event beginning at 5:30 p.m. an assortment of delicious appetizers will be provided by Generations of Plymouth and Wild Wood Pizza. Other refreshments and libations will be available throughout the event including soda, beer, and wine. Dancing will begin after a short program highlighting some of the recent successes of LNRP and its partner groups. Back by popular demand, Bazooka Joe will be getting the dance floor rockin’.

For the past 20 years, LNRP has worked to advance the message of environmental and economic balance through wise stewardship of ground and surface waters and soils. LNRP is proud of the authentic relationships built since the organization’s inception in 2003 – relationships that enable us to be vocal champions of working lands and waters. LNRP serves as the parent organization of 18 watershed groups, regional networks, and community partners all engaged in the work of natural resource protection.

The Saxon Homestead Farm is unique venue showcasing an old-fashioned barn and a historical working dairy farm (since 1850) in the heart of southern Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. The farm has been the home of this annual fundraising event for LNRP since its inception in 2011. Saxon Homestead Farm is a family partnership owned and operated by fifth-generation family members Robert Klessig and Kathleen Block-Klessig, Karl and Liz Klessig, their families, and their enthusiastic employees. Karl and Liz Klessig, the owners of the farm have been strong partners with the LNRP with this fundraiser being a collaboration with agricultural partners. To learn more about the family and history of their farm visit their website.

“We’re so proud to once again join with many of our LNRP friends and supporters at this picturesque family farm in southern Manitowoc County and highlight the special partnerships we have fostered to help improve rural life as it intersects with urban life in the 21st century.”

— Tom Mlada, LNRP Executive Director.

Purchase your tickets in advance! We anticipate the event to be sold out. Day-of tickets are not guaranteed but will be made available if capacity allows.
